Jordan Vauvert Les thèmes sylvestres et floraux si chers à Damián sont pour la première fois mis entre parenthèses sur Leave, album qui met l'accent sur un paysage urbain. Son post-black metal dépressif si poignant demeure intact — comment rester de marbre face au piano qui introduit "Te amé" ou au gigantesque "Encontrarnos" ? — mais l'artificiel entre désormais en jeu avec des chœurs au synthé ("_____") et de l'electronica ("To stay"). La voix de Damián, distante, se perd dans la ville — une solitude extrême. Favorite track: Encontrarnos.

Jordan Te Amé was the first Sadness song I ever heard, and needless to say I have been hooked ever since. The use of reverb and echo within the tracks gives an atmosphere unlike anything else. Favorite track: Te amé.

I was always intrigued by this group's choice of album covers, it isn't every day that you see high quality space photos in this genre despite the rise of "cosmic" black metal. But the music blew me away, this sounds like Austere took the atmospheric spacey route. (I will assume it's a coincidence that both bands are Australian) porcelainheart-

On ne frappe pas un homme à terre : c'est ce que dit la règle mais NONE a déjà prouvé qu'il ne les suivait pas et si son album éponyme retirait toute perspective de béatitude spirituelle, Life has gone on long enough, son deuxième opus, nous interdit l'accès au bonheur terrestre. La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. Dans The Density Parameter, Mesarthim reprend tous les ingrédients qui font leur marque de fabrique : des pistes assez longues au rythme énergique (très palpable sur "Recombination" par exemple) et jouant sur des structures cycliques, un chant qui erre parmi les étoiles... Les ambiances sont prolifiques mais elles changent la donne : gracieuses, certes, mais surtout plus mélancoliques qu'autrefois.
